District-Level Children’s Sports and Self-Defence Promotion Programme 2026
Surya Uday Social Welfare and Educational Society (SUSWES) and Aarav Taekwondo Academy, in collaboration with the Women’s Football Federation of India (WFFI), successfully organized the District-Level Children’s Sports and Self-Defence Promotion Programme 2026 at Sport N More, Sainik Farm, New Delhi.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 500 children and young people from South Delhi and nearby areas. Participants showcased impressive Taekwondo and self-defence skills, highlighting the importance of discipline, sportsmanship, confidence, and self-reliance, particularly among girls and women. Outstanding young athletes were awarded medals and certificates.
The programme was graced by Mr. Mukesh Sharma, National President of WFFI and Chief Guest, along with Mr. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Member of Parliament, South Delhi; Mrs. Maya Bisht, District President, South Delhi BJP; Mrs. Anita Satpal Singhal, Municipal Councillor and Deputy Chairperson, DEMS Committee, MCD; and other distinguished representatives from sports, public service, politics, and social welfare.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Mr. Vivek Pandey, President of SUSWES, and Mr. Arvind of Aarav Taekwondo Academy, with WFFI as the collaborating organization.
The event aimed to empower children and youth through sports and self-defence training while promoting confidence, personal safety, and a healthier, more disciplined society

Ceremony held at Gandhi Smriti
On Saturday, 19 September 2026, Mr. Mukesh Sharma had the honour of attending a distinguished ceremony at Gandhi Smriti, New Delhi, under the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti (GSDS), chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and with Shri Vijay Goel Ji as Vice-Chairman.
During the ceremony, Shri Vijay Goel Ji honoured Mr. Sharma with a shawl, a book, and a certificate of appreciation.
On behalf of the Women’s Football Federation of India (WFFI), Mr. Sharma also honoured Shri Vijay Goel Ji with a shawl and a special memento commemorating WFFI’s Golden Jubilee and 50 years of service to women’s football.
The occasion was a proud moment for Mr. Sharma and the entire WFFI family, reflecting their continued dedication, support, and commitment.

WFFI Delhi Meeting
On 14 June 2026, a very important meeting of the 'Women's Football Federation of India' (WFFI) Delhi unit was successfully concluded in Shivalik, Malviya Nagar (New Delhi).
Highlights of the meeting: A two-day Mini Women's Football Championship will be organized in the last week of June.
Main Objective: To make the upcoming '7-a-side Championship' Women's Football Tournament even more grand and better.
Major Resolution: Special emphasis was laid on bringing CSR fund sponsorship to take football to more and more women players at the grassroots level.This will provide world-class and modern sports facilities to our talented girls. Your active participation and suggestions are extremely valuable and essential to us. Come, let us work together to take women's football to new heights
