Spotlight: The Womens Football Federation of India (WFFI)
A General Body Meeting may be either an Ordinary General Body Meeting or a Special General Body Meeting.
The Annual General body Meeting shall be held every year. The Executive Committee shall determine the date and venue. All Member Associations shall be notified in writing at least 30 (thirty) days in advance.
In case of an Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) where elections are held, the nomination forms and electoral college list shall be circulated along with the above notification, at least 30 (thirty) days in advance.
A formal convocation shall then be issued in writing at least 15 (fifteen) days before the AGM, including the agenda, financial statements, and the Auditor’s report.
The Executive Committee may convene a Special General Body Meeting at any time.
A Special General Body Meeting shall also be convened if one-third of the Member Associations submit a written request specifying the agenda. Such a meeting must be held within 60 (sixty) days of receipt of the request.
Members shall be notified in writing of the date, venue, and agenda at least 30 (thirty) days prior to a Special General Body Meeting. The agenda for such meetings shall not be altered.
The Honorary President, specially designated persons by the General Body, members of the Executive Committee, and the General Secretary of WFFI shall attend General Body Meetings in a consultative capacity.
The Executive Committee may invite third parties to attend General Body Meetings. Such parties shall have no voting rights, but may be consulted with the Committee’s permission.
The Annual General Body Meeting must be convened within nine (9) months after the close of the financial year of WFFI. In exceptional cases, the Executive Committee may extend this by a maximum of three (3) months.
All meeting notices shall be issued by the General Secretariat of WFFI.
The quorum for both Annual and Special General Body Meetings shall be 50% of the Members plus one.
Each Permanent Member (defined as a Football Association of a State or Union Territory, as recognized by the Constitution of India, and granted permanent affiliation to WFFI) shall have one vote in the General Body Meeting. Voting by proxy or letter is strictly prohibited.
Delegates must be official members of the Permanent Member Association they represent.
Nominations shall be signed either by the President or the Honorary/General Secretary of that Association.
In the case of conflicting nominations, the one signed by the President shall be deemed valid.
No person convicted of a criminal offense by a court shall be permitted to act as a delegate.
A member of the Executive Committee of WFFI shall not have voting rights during Annual or Special General Body Meetings. Further, such a person shall not be nominated as a representative delegate of their Member Association while serving on the Executive Committee.
The President of WFFI shall preside over and conduct the business of the General Body Meetings in accordance with the Standing Orders of the General Body.
